NWS New York City – Upton (Long Island and New York City)
Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northeastern Bergen, Westchester, east central Orange, western Putnam, Bronx and Rockland Counties through 800 PM EDT At 715 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Cold Spring to near Oradell. Movement was southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE Radar indicated. IMPACT Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include Yonkers, New Rochelle, White Plains, New City, Bergenfield, Ossining, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Haverstraw, Tarrytown, Mount Kisco, Dobbs Ferry, Mahopac and Nyack.
