    Theodore Thomas Zborowski, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 11, 2026 with family by his side. Born and raised in , NY, he later became a lifetime resident of the Capital District along with his wife Jean of 69 years.

    His journey began when he worked for Esquire Magazine in New York before joining the US Navy, serving four years as a radioman aboard the USS Jenkins DDE-447 in Hawaii and Korea. He attended TV Broadcasting school in New York City, after which he started a 40 year career in the broadcasting industry including WTEN television station and the New York Network in , NY.

    In retirement, he took up still as a hobby with being his specialty along with work at the Northeast Regional Food Bank, the AARP local chapter. He was also a American Red Cross three gallon blood donor, and a volunteer at many local blood drives. An avid Sienna Saints fan, he was in regular attendance at the local games with his son Stephen.

    Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Jean, his children, Stephen, Diane, Debra and was predeceased by his beloved son Severyn. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    A friend to all, his warm spirit, dedication to his family and tireless involvement left an indelible mark on all who met him. Ted will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

    Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Internment will follow the service at Memory Gardens where he will be laid to rest next to his son.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Red Cross, Albany chapter, 33 Everett Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in Ted’s memory.
