For those interested in participating in elections this year, the New York Board of Election has released it’s calendar. The most important dates for the public are:
The Primary election is June 27, 2023
The last day of voter registration for the primary is June 17 – which is the first day of early voting.
The General election is November 7, 2023
The last day of voter registration for the general election is October 28 – which is the first day of early voting.
For those seeking office, the last day for designating primary petitions is April 10th. Please note that on the right side of the first page it lists the required number of verified petitions. Be sure to also submit many more than what is required in case your petitions are challenged.
