As America approaches its 250th anniversary, artists from Yonkers and across Westchester County are offering a creative vision of the future—one slice at a time.
Opening June 27 at Blue Door Art Center, the exhibition Cake features 30 three-dimensional cake sculptures created by regional artists. Each work reflects personal hopes, dreams, and aspirations inspired by the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial celebration.
The sculptural cakes serve as expressions of community, optimism, and imagination. The exhibition invites visitors to consider Americ’as future as we enters its next chapter..
“Cake brings a familiar entry point to explore deeper themes” said Blue Door Art Center Gallery Director, Michele Amaro.
The exhibition runs through July 25, 2026, at Blue Door Art Center, 13 Riverdale Avenue in Yonkers. Visitors can also enjoy Red, White, Blue and You, a popular companion exhibition that has been extended due to strong public response.
