The ice bucket challenge will likely return thanks to a Westchester man who is facing ALS and is working to find a solution.
In 2013, Pat Quinn received a fatal degenerative illness diagnosis. He assisted in the ice bucket challenge beginning a year later. In order to raise awareness about ALS, the viral advertisement featured people piling ice over their heads.
“Every 90 seconds, a patient with ALS dies from the disease, so we need all the help we can get. Just the beginning is the ‘ice bucket challenge,'” explained Quinn.
This next Saturday at Yonkers Raceway, thousands are anticipated to take part in the “Quinn For The Win” ice bucket challenge.
