Simone Development Companies acquired the office building at One Executive Boulevard in Yonkers to develop a medical office center. The transaction with seller, Robert Martin Company, finalized on October 2nd for an undisclosed purchase price.
A growing medical hub
The four story office building contains a massive 133,768 square feet. Its strategic location at the junction of Executive Boulevard and North Broadway is ideal for a new medical center. Here, it offers convenient access to Simone’s Boyce Thompson Center. The Boyce Thompson Center is a mixed-use complex housing physician’s offices, restaurants, and retail shops. Additionally, the newly acquired property is in close proximity to Simone Development’s 1034 North Broadway. This 25,000-square-foot multi-tenant medical building counts Northwell Health and Trust Specialty Pharmacy among its tenants.
Joe Simone, President of Simone Development Companies, expressed enthusiasm about the project. In a statement he explained that, “Our acquisition of this important property located in the heart of what we see as the North Yonkers Medical Mile fits perfectly with our vision for this vibrant and growing health care community. Moving forward, we foresee continued strength in the health care sector here with its easy access to Southern and Central Westchester, Riverdale, and the North Bronx.“
Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano welcomed Simone’s plans to transform One Executive Boulevard into a medical office center. He highlighted the positive impact it will have on the city.
