The 66th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held in Yonkers on Saturday March 18th and led by Fr. Brendan Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald is a well-known figure in the area and the Pastor at Saint Barnabas in the Bronx.
Born in Rockaway, New York, to native-Irish parents, Fitzgerald studied in Rome and Fordham University. He attained a Master’s degree in Theology before being ordained to the priesthood in 2000. After his initial service in Ireland, Fitzgerald returned to New York in 2006. After many years at Saint Barnabas, he became Pastor in 2016. In addition to his official role in the Church, Fitzgerald also serves as Chaplain in the following organizations:

- FDNY Holy Name Society
- FDNY GAA
- New York GAA
- FDNY Emerald Society
- United Emerald Societies
- Kerry Association
- New York State AOH
This year’s parade starts on Saturday, March 18th from 1:00pm. It will begin near 960 McLean Ave and ends at Coyne Park.
