The Yonkers /Waterfront BID hosts Yonkers Riverfest on Saturday, Sept. 19, with free admission, three stages of live music, food and craft vendors, and family activities along the waterfront.

Lisa Lisa, the freestyle singer known for “Head to Toe” and “Lost in Emotion,” closes the River Street stage at 6:30 p.m. DJ Frankie Cutlass, the Bronx-born hip-hop producer, precedes her at 5:20 p.m. The Lady Gaga Experience featuring Haus of Monsters performs at 4:10 p.m. The BID says the City of Yonkers underwrote the headline acts.

Music runs from noon to roughly 7 p.m. The Main Street stage opens with a James Brown tribute at noon, followed by a Chicago tribute, the Soul Mixtapes Reboot with Jarena Brown and the Jermaine Jones Band, Latin bandleader Chico Alvarez with Mafimba, and the brass band Funky Dawgz. The Waterfront stage features Next Gen Musicians, vocalist Bria the Artist, a Dolly Parton set by The Rustlers, the R&B group BaseCamp, and saxophonist Christopher McBride & The Whole Proof. Jazz trumpeter Alphonso Horne & The Gotham Kings open River Street at 1 p.m. DJs perform on Dock Street and at the Nature Hub.

The BID describes Riverfest as County’s largest one-day event and says it has drawn more than 15,000 people.
