Local Productions Earn Multiple Emmy Nominations

In the recently announced Emmy Award nominations, Yonkers served as a primary backdrop for several television series filmed in the city.

The nominations include: “The Gilded Age”(HBO Max), which earned eight nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series. Key scenes were filmed at the Yonkers Train Station, Great Point Studios, and the Hudson River Museum. “Your Friends & Neighbors” (Apple TV+) earned a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, with extensive filming at Northview Place and the Library.

Additionally, “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver,” which filmed a portion of its production in Yonkers in 2025, received six nominations, including Outstanding Variety Series. Tyler James Williams, a Yonkers native, is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in “Abbott Elementary” (ABC).

Previously, at the local level, Yonkers City Hall TV received the New York Emmy Award nomination in the Military category. It was the station’s fourth nomination since entering in 2024.

This year, the 78th Annual Emmy Awards will air Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
