The city and the YPD will host this year’s National Night Out, part of a nationwide annual community outreach program that promotes partnership between police and community members on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This event will be held at four locations, one in each precinct: Andrus Field, Central Park Avenue, south of Road; Coyne Park, McLean Avenue, east of Central Park Avenue; Sullivan Oval Park and Playground, Bryant Road/Knollwood Road; and JFK Marina, Warburton Avenue/JFK Memorial Drive.

The events were planned by the precincts and their respective police-community council members.

The events will feature and games, first-responder and safety demonstrations, food and drinks, and a direct meet-and-greet with the local police.
