I grew up in a large Italian family of both home and professional chefs. I’ve worked in bakeries, restaurants, and test kitchens, writing recipes for local and national newspapers. My cookbook credits include five editions of “Cooking for Dummies,” “Grilling for Dummies” and “Bacon Nation.” In this food column I’ll look to report on the restaurants and food markets of our vibrant city and occasionally offer my own recipes for family meals, healthy eating, and holidays. Most importantly, I’ll ask for your personal food tips and recipes because I know you have lots to share with your neighbors and readers of this Yonkers newspaper.
