FREE Family Fun on the Hudson River

Today, Saturday, June 28, from noon to 5 PM, the Yonkers Parks and Recreation Commission will hold its annual Summer Kick-Off Riverfront Festival at Yonkers’ Habirshaw Park.

This exciting waterfront celebration offers something for everyone:

Water Activities:

  • Kayaking and standup paddleboard experiences
  • Canoe rides on the Hudson River
  • Learn to fish with seine nets

Educational Experiences:

  • Tour the historic boathouse and environmental center
  • Learn about local oyster restoration efforts
  • Touch live turtles and other river wildlife

Creative Activities:

  • Make art from recyclable materials
  • Plant seeds to take home for your garden
  • Yoga by the water

Families seeking to start the summer with outdoor adventure and environmental education will love this Free Event. Rain or shine, the festival is scheduled for June 29 if necessary.
