The acts committed by then 63 year-old Ray, began after moving into the dorm room of his daughter who was attending Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers. Over years he had systematically abused and exploited his daughter and her friends. The exploitation included forcing these young women into prostitution for which he profited by in the millions of dollars. Five of Ray’s victims were brave enough to take the stand in court and testify against him. One victim even recounted to the court that “He Held a Knife to My Genitals.” Ray was initially charged in 2020 and convicted in April of 2022.
“The sentence imposed today will ensure that Ray will never harm victims again. I commend the brave victims who testified in court in the face of incredible trauma.”
