With Mother’s Day just around the corner, Yonkers Kiwanis Club is celebrating the sweetness of moms everywhere with their delicious Spring Flapjack Fundraiser.
Hosted at Yonkers Applebee’s, this family event features their signature breakfast buffet and a chance to win a basket of goodies from the legendary Kiwanis raffle basket showcase.
As a tribute to all the hard work mothers do, the annual event is raising funds for the Junior League of Central Westchester’s (JLWC) County Diaper Bank—a charitable service that provides local support to mothers in need. The program offers temporary assistance to mothers by providing them with a small care package of diapers and wipes to get them through difficult financial periods. The resources are available to eligible mothers up to three times per year.
According to the Westchester County Diaper Bank, funds donated to the Diaper Bank may also be used to “provide diapers for disaster relief efforts outside of the County.”
This spring, treat your mom to plate of hot, fresh Applebee’s flapjacks—and spread some love to mothers in our community who need it the most.
