Anand Singh was recently outed as an alleged child sex predator by Youtube channel, OBL Global. This organization lures potential predators with decoys posing as underage girls. Using text messages and phone calls, Singh was caught sending sexually explicit messages to what he thought was a 14 year-old girl. Singh then drove upwards of three hours across state lines to meet his potential victim in New Jersey. While there, he was confronted by OBL Global. Singh immediately retreated back to his car and sped away.

A political past

Singh has held positions both in Yonkers and Westchester County government. He was first an aide in the Yonkers City Council President’s office from about 2019 to 2021. However, he exited that role and transitioned to the Westchester Board of Legislators to do similar work. When the above video was released on April 13th, 2023, Singh was terminated from his position in government. All members of the legislative body were instructed by the Chair’s office to not discuss the matter.

In the coming days, The Yonkers Ledger learned that many in government knew of the allegations against Singh as early as December. These revelations culminated in a unanimous call for the ouster of Chairwoman Catherine Borgia. In her position, she was solely responsible for the employment of central staff like Anand Singh. Borgia resigned her position in leadership on Friday, April 26th, just minutes before a vote was to be held to forcibly remove her.

The indictment

The criminal complaint charges that Singh first communicated on a dating app with an individual who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. He then made plans to meet the individual at an apartment building in New Jersey to engage in sexual activity.

33-year-old Anand Singh allegedly attempted to entice an individual, who he believed to be a 14-year-old, to meet for sexual purposes, via dating and text apps. Today’s arrest is a reminder of the inherent danger the internet could potentially pose to our youth and the critical importance to protect them from online predators
